Flexible Training Opportunities
This gives businesses in Scotland with under 150 employees the opportunity to apply for up to £5,000 towards employee training costs.
It is managed by Skills Development Scotland (SDS) and supported by the European Social Fund, it aims to help small businesses become more resilient and to boost productivity and success.
Funding is available for up to 10 employees per business and the money is not a loan so there's no need to pay it back.
SDS will refund 50% of the cost of up to 10 training courses with a maximum value of £500 per course.
Businesses must register before 31st March and complete the training by 30th June 2011.

Stage 1 - Am I eligible?
Please check the following criteria to see if you are eligible for an award.
Are you one or more of the following:
- Aged between 14 – 25
- Living in Scotland
- Not a graduate (do not have a degree)
- Unemployed or working under 16 hours
- Not in full time education or training
- In or leaving care
Stage 2 - I am eligible, what can I use funding for?
An award will be of between £50 -£500 to help you pay for things such as short term or part-time course fees, tools, equipment or materials.
Please note that the award must be used as a direct way of getting you into education, training or employment
